"Pieces of Texas" Collectible Artisan Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles
Discover Texas’ vast and unique beauty, history & culture one puzzle at a time.
My puzzle images come from photos I take while exploring backroads, state parks, and small towns.
So y'all ride the trails of discovery with me. Keep your hat on - it's hotter'n blue blazes out there!
Each puzzle is of the highest quality possible and is a work of art made to last generations
11” x 14” puzzles are 300 pieces
12” x 12” square puzzles are 256 pieces
12” round puzzles are 200 pieces
Highest quality materials
Images are printed on archival photo paper then mounted on high grade 1/8” birchwood. The semi-gloss paper can be handled without creating smudges. The pieces have a satisfying tactile sensation.
Precision laser-cut wooden pieces
The completed puzzle has a perfectly smooth surface suitaboe for framing.
Durable Glass Display Jar
Each puzzle is stored in a Texas-style durable glass jar with lid and an engraved wooden tag. Display the jar until the next time you want to work it - perhaps for a fun night with your family or friends. The size and difficulty are just right - not too hard, not too easy.
Puzzle Images
The images are photographed while traveling, hiking, exploring and meeting fellow Texans that share their unique local places or history.
Images artistically digitally modified
Swirls, textures and fun colors add another layer of intrigue as you assemble the pieces.
Made individually in artist's workshop in Texas
Production, from start to finish is from my workshop in ‘small town’ Texas. Not mass produced.

Puzzle the old-fashioned way
Small image provided on front of jar (approximately 2.5 x 3.5”) No large print provided. The first puzzles were hand-cut by a jig and given to a child to figure out what the image would be. What a fun surprise! This way of puzzling helps you focus on the shapes and colors. Develop your skills of concentration, organization while watching your image come to completion, giving you a better sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.
Warning - this way of puzzling may become addictive
(Actual sizes slightly less. Pieces may have a slight “burn” smell which will fade with time.)
